While carrying out this project environmental, sustainability, health and safety were taken in to account. This project is considered important for Sikkim as a well-planned pentagonal shape G+6 Residential Building which will not only provide structurally safe building but will also provide aesthetical appearance. The design of structural components like slab, beam, column and footings with base isolators are done using limit state method. Four different support systems were used for analyzing the building in which all the columns having base isolators was found to have less base shear.
Further STAAD.Pro software was used for analyzing the structural components of the G+6 Residential Building. For designing the G+6 Residential Building in Marchak, a proper plan of the building is drawn in AutoCAD 2016 and this plan is analyzed using Autodesk Ecotect Analysis 2011 software to check the temperature and the solar exposure of the building. It has been identified that this is a major problem in Sikkim and an initiative has been taken to develop a design for well-planned G+6 Residential Building with base isolation at Marchak. With growing natural calamities like Earthquake, proper channeling of this is very much essential for any given locality.
